Welcome to our Website. We hope you find it useful and enjoy your visit.

Since the retirement of Tony Tucker, and until the installation of the Rev Louise Holliday, the day to day work of St Giles is being led by a team of people headed up by the Churchwardens – Kath Hirst and Paul Brisbane.

The Church of St Giles’ Balderton has been privileged to serve the local community for eight centuries. In our day we continue to work to make the love of God, supremely revealed to us in the life of Jesus Christ, known to our parish. At the heart of all we do lies our worship of God in response to His gracious love for us.The church is in a prominent position in the village which is now home to some 15,000 people. Some people think the name of “Balderton” was taken from one of the Norse gods. You may like to read more of this on our History page.

For many people especially those seeking to make plans for either baptism or marriage their main contact is with the Parish Surgery, which is held every Tuesday evening 6.00pm – 7.00pm in the Church Vestry. Alternatively, please use the for on the Contact Us page, or contact details below to get in touch. During the period from May – September the church is open weekday afternoons 2.00pm – 4.00pm when visitors are welcome to join us for a cup of tea.

St Giles is a traditional Anglican church. We value our heritage whilst enjoying the best of fresh expressions of worship, and extend a warm welcome to all our visitors.

Please do take time to join us, you are assured of a warm welcome.
